“Wake up an hour early to live an hour more.” – Unknown
Waking up earlier has many benefits and has been known to completely change lifestyles.
Why and how? You may ask – well here are the reasons below.
Organised
The early hours are usually those without any distractions or commitments. You are not likely to be meeting a friend, nor will your favourite show be on TV. As a result, you have those few extra hours to focus completely on yourself and your thoughts.
There is a beauty to starting the day earlier and knowing you do not have to rush to complete things. Once you start checking those dreaded errands off your to-do list then you will automatically feel more productive and overall, you feel better about yourself and your life.
Physical Improvements
Waking up earlier allows you to sustain a healthier diet as you have way more time than anybody else. Those who wake up later than you are more likely to be rushing out of the door and the issue with this is when they have a poor breakfast then it will lead to worse eating habits throughout the day, week and so on.
Not to mention that when you are eating healthier and focusing on your eating habits you are more likely to feel better so it all ties in to feeling better overall.
Mindfulness
When you wake up early you are more likely to learn to become mindful and become more in tune to your surroundings. Whether it is to open the window and watch the sunrise (something I highly recommend now that Spring is around the corner) or simple meditation to give direction to your thoughts.
Mindfulness will truly enable you to be present in the moment and help you navigate your way through your day.
Overall, the possibilities are endless, and you need to make sure you are creating a healthy routine for yourself to create a positive impact in your day-to-day life.
