& Psychosexual Therapy
Our Story
The journey of U Matter began with Sarah, who herself experienced childhood trauma and domestic violence. Over 22 years ago, when Sarah struggled to trust the therapist recommended by her GP, she chose instead to study psychology to better understand her experiences and begin her own healing. This path led her to develop into a highly experienced clinician, specialising in trauma and becoming a trainer and supervisor for professionals in the field.
Sarah has gained vast and diverse expertise working within the multicultural landscape, which equips U Matter to navigate the complexities of human distress across different languages, cultures, and socioeconomic levels. Her ongoing commitment to training ensures that U Matter maintains the highest standards of practice, continuously evolving with the latest trauma research and therapeutic approaches.
Through her work, Sarah emphasises the power of trust, respect for each person’s unique experience, and the compassionate care needed for individuals to rediscover their strength and recover fully. Today, the U Matter team supports hundreds of clients from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and asylum seekers, helping them reclaim their lives and move toward brighter futures. To ensure that our services are accessible and inclusive, we provide therapy in multiple languages, including English, Albanian, Arabic, Greek, Hindi, Urdu, Panjabi, Persian (Farsi Dari), and Turkish.
