Selina’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and client-centered, rooted in her belief that every individual’s needs are unique and should not be minimized. She integrates a variety of modalities including psychoanalysis, CBT, neuroplasticity, NLP, EFT, Gestalt, life coaching, and trauma-focused therapies, with a core emphasis on the client’s needs. About Me

Selina’s background spans psychology, sociology, and culture, bringing a unique perspective to her work as a psychotherapist, traumatologist, and life coach. She supports both clients and the U Matter team in psychological, legal, and practical issues. Selina has a passion for advocating for victims of human trafficking and modern-day slavery, working with clients who face these challenges and the asylum process. Her work is driven by the belief that all individuals deserve a safe space to grow, contribute, and prosper without fear.

Experience

Selina has extensive experience working with diverse clients facing complex issues, ranging from trauma and abuse to addiction and socio-political challenges. She has worked with young people and adults in various settings, including schools and therapy teams. She has also trained psychotherapists and counsellors, preparing them for professional practice. Selina’s research focuses on topics such as:

  • Female identities in human trafficking victims
  • Dissociative symptoms, Complex PTSD, and PTSD
  • Gender identities in relation to politics, law, social landscapes, and traditional values
