With over eighteen years of experience across England, Europe and Southeast Asia, Maryam has dedicated her career to empowering communities through creative and cultural involvement.

As a psychotherapist, she has worked with a wide range of clients, focusing on cross-cultural dynamics, mental health, and well-being. Maryam’s work reflects resilience and determination. She is deeply intrigued by the intricacies of human consciousness and is particularly drawn to the complex interplay of cultural and intersectional identities within both collectivist and individualistic societies. Her therapeutic approach is illustrated by warmth and a spirit of exploration.

Experience

Over the past seven years, Maryam has dedicated herself to the field of psychotherapy, amassing significant experience in working with clients, particularly adolescents and adults. In addition to her private practice, she has gained valuable insights from leading group workshops, psychoeducation workshops, and supervision groups in both not-for-profit and private sectors.
