Therapeutic Approach

I use an integrative approach in my therapy, primarily drawing from person-centered therapy to create a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences. This approach is complemented by techniques from CBT to help clients identify and adjust unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. Additionally, I am specialized in EMDR, which I use to help clients process and heal from trauma.

About Me

My philosophy as a therapist centers on creating a nurturing and empathetic environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to support and guide them through this transformative process. What drives me is the profound impact that meaningful, compassionate therapy can have on a person’s life. I am dedicated to helping the clients explore and understand their emotions, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping. I connect with people by building genuine, trusting relationships where they feel safe and understood. By actively listening and engaging with empathy, I aim to create a space where they can openly explore their thoughts and emotions. This connection allows me and the clients to work together effectively, helping them to gain clarity, develop resilience, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Their unique experiences and feelings are important, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

Experience

I have several years of experience working in mental health care, with a focus on trauma, homelessness, and substance use. My professional journey has included roles where I supported vulnerable adults and addressed a wide range of issues.
